PRESCHOOL COMMUNITY EVENTS

Lambie Street Preschool is a community based preschool and aims to promote positive relationships with families as we work collaboratively to provide an inclusive play based program.  We encourage families to become involved in preschool life and hold a variety of events throughout the year that children can share with the special people in their lives.

Boys Night Out

Held annually in the lead up to Mother's Day, Boys Night Out is a special evening when children (both boys and girls) bring a special male/s in their life to preschool to learn a little more about what happens at preschool.  It is also an opportunity to make a special Mother's Day gift while at the preschool.

Girls Night Out

Held annually in the lead up to Father's Day, Girls Night Out is a special evening when children (both boys and girls) bring a special female/s in their life to preschool to learn a little more about what happens at preschool.  It is also an opportunity to make a special Father's Day gift while at the preschool.

End of Year Farewell

Held each year at the end of the school year, the End of Year Farewell is our farewell send off to the children who are heading off to "big school" the following year.  The children perform a concert for their families and are presented with their preschool memory books, certificates and a farewell gift.

Fundraising Events

Lambie Street Preschool is a community based, not for profit preschool and relies on generous community support to continue to provide a quality preschool program.  Along with small fundraising activities that occur throughout the year, Lambie Street Preschool holds one major fundraising event per year, alternating between the Spring Fete and the Art Show.

Spring Fete

The preschool fete is held every second year during Term 3.

The fete is the major fundraising event for the preschool held during the year.

Art Show

The art show is held every second year during in term 3. 

Art and visual literacies are a vital part of children's development and are an essential stepping stone to success in literacy in later life.

The Art Show is always a great way to showcase the talented children at Lambie Street Preschool, highlight the importance of early childhood education and raise valuable funds for the preschool.
